the suppression of confessionalism in lebanon is essential and vital, at least if we intend to have a united lebanon and a viable future and existence. however this goal must not encounter the unicity of lebanon wich distinguish him from the entire arab world. we cannot imagine lebanon as a typical arab state where minorities are just passive, there rights are respected but they do not participate in any form to the political life of their state hence having no right to determine their future. This is why when abording this subject we need to find a "secure" system where the equality of chances in the public life is respected but also this particularity of lebanon.so it would be a important to promote solutions and to study the sociological thinking of lebanon .and this is the only way confessionalism might be replaced by nationalism and patriotism.good luck

Gongratulations for nice idea, i may have been one of your best supporters around 10 years back , but now and will all what is happening is lebanon, i beleive your are preaching Utopia, and impossible to have it in LEBANON. but any way good luck

It is very simple... One person, one vote. Since we are all equal under the constitution, we share the same responsibilities, and we abide by the same laws, why should we allow sectarian divides to rule us. let the judging factor be the suitability for a job, not the "sectarian quota". this should be applied to everything from voting, to jobs and positions in government and other institutions. for the sake of our kids, and the future of Lebanon
